- App
- Ankur (अंकुर), com.innovatex.ankur
- Effective date
- 12 October 2026
- Developer
- Innovatex Technology Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur, India
The short version
No data is collected. Ankur has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. It does not connect to the internet, and nothing you enter ever leaves your device.
What Ankur stores, and where
To work, Ankur keeps a few things only on your device, in the app's private storage:
- For each child (up to six): a nickname (optional; please don't use a full name), birth month and year (never a full date of birth), a picture colour, a content language, and time limits.
- How much each child has used Ankur each day, kept for 35 days so the daily limit works, plus any extra time a parent gave today.
- What each child opened recently (for example "The Clever Rabbit"), so a parent can see what they enjoyed this week. The last 100 items are kept.
- Choices made in the app: favourite stories, ticked steps in today's routine, and routines a parent has edited.
- Drawings a child saves, as pictures in the app's private folder.
- App settings such as language, sound, reduce motion, low brightness and the bedtime schedule.
Who can see it
Ankur never stores photos, recordings, location or contacts. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. Device backup and device-to-device transfer of this data are switched off.
Reading aloud
To read stories and words aloud, Ankur uses your device's own text-to-speech voice. It uses only voices installed on the device, never ones that need the internet, and it sends the words nowhere.
Deleting your data
You can delete it at any time:
- remove a child in the parent area (this deletes everything about them, including their drawings);
- clear a child's history in the parent area;
- clear the app's storage in Android settings;
- or uninstall the app.
What Ankur does not do
- It does not request the internet permission or any other network permission.
- It does not collect or share personal information, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos or audio.
- It contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no in-app purchases.
- It does not use the advertising ID.
Printable cards and links
In the parent area, which is protected by an adult check, you can make a PDF of the baby cards. The PDF is created on your device. If you choose to save, print or share it, Android's share sheet or print service handles that, and the destination is your choice.
The About page, also behind the adult check, lists our website and email address. Opening them hands over to your browser or email app. Ankur itself still sends nothing.
Children
Ankur is designed for parents to use together with their children, from birth to age 8. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or adults. By not collecting personal data at all, Ankur is designed to comply with Google Play's Families Policy, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and children's privacy laws such as COPPA and GDPR-K.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and its effective date, and describe the change in the app's release notes. We will not begin collecting data without first updating this policy and the app's Play Store data safety section.
